Video Auditions for Male Singers and Pianists

There are still a few openings left for male singers and pianists/repetiteurs for the academic year October ’24 – July ’25
  • Application Deadline: 3rd July 9AM (CET)

Selection process
  1. First round: preselection by IOA General Manager and IOA Head of Music;
  2. Second round: the recordings will be presented to the Expert Panel;
  3. Third round: An Audition Day on 19 August 2024 where candidates are expected to be present at the IOA for a full day of coachings and tests.

After every round the IOA will communicate via e-mail if you are admitted to the next round/ the IOA programme. This admission is only valid for the following academic year ‘24-‘25.
Candidates selected to study at the IOA can apply for financial support.

Applications for the 2-year cycle (2025-2027 ) start in October 2024. All info will be available at that time.


Erasmus traineeships

The IOA offers traineeships within the Erasmus+ programme.
More info about the traineeships offered in the academic year 2024-2025 can be found HERE.



To enroll at the IOA you must:

  • Not be older than 32.
  • Have completed a programme in classical singing (Bachelor or Master) OR have equivalent experience.

  • If you want to participate in several productions/concerts with orchestra.
  • If you want to be taught by internationally acclaimed teachers and masters, who closely follow your trajectory to become a successful singer/repetiteur, then we invite you to apply for auditions at the International Opera Academy, in the beautiful, vibrant and historical city of Ghent.
