Support the IOA

The International Opera Academy (IOA) was founded twenty-two years ago. Since then, more than 156 students from 33 different countries graduated from the programme. These last few years, the programme has been thoroughly restructured – which has resulted in an output of visibly higher quality.

The high quality of our educational programme is made possible through our many professional partners, who offer our students vitally important experiences in productions at an international level.
The patronage of our sponsors, however, remains indispensable. Their engagement allows students to focus more fully on their respective study trajectories. As the IOA’s outreach grows, its reputation also attracts students from countries with more precarious economic situations. To these students, extra financial help is most welcome.
Students can be supported through an annual scholarship or by helping them to finance living expenses during their studies in Ghent. Further, our programme can be sponsored by financing Masterclasses, or supporting concerts and productions. Other patronage formulas are open to negotiation. Funding is renewed upon agreement from the sponsor or patron.
