Paula Meyer


Swiss mezzo-soprano Paula Meyer was scholarship holder of the Barock Vokal Akademie in Mainz. She sang excerpts of Zenobia (Radamisto, G.F. Händel) with the Neumeyer Consort and conductor Paul Goodwin. Her roles include Annio (La clemenza di Tito, W.A. Mozart), 2. Dame (Die Zauberflöte, W.A. Mozart) and Stephano (Roméo et Juliette, C. Gounod). With her self-made production Zucker, Brot & Peitsche, she successfully performs in Switzerland together with Swiss drag queen Amélie Putain.

Paula completed her studies with Malin Hartelius at the Swiss Operastudio. During her studies Paula worked with stage directors Olivier Tambosi and Mathias Behrends as well as conductors Christoph Campestrini and Frano Trinca. During masterclasses, she worked with a.o. Angelika Kirchschlager, Jennifer Larmore, Fabrizio Melano and Lucy Arner.

Since October 2023, Paula is a student of the International Opera Academy in Ghent, Belgium.
