Jinyoung Kim
South Korean tenor Jinyoung Kim was born in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do in 1988, studied singing at the Sejong University of Seoul and received an Artist Diploma in opera performance at the Korea National University of Arts. Amongst others, he studied with Louis Sungjin Kim, Taehyun Jun, Seonghwa Eom, Unggyun Lim Carlo Palleschi and Chung Chiyong.
He has also performed the roles of Ferrando in Così fan tutte, Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore and Alfred in Die Fledermaus. He performed in various performance halls in Korea, including the Seoul Art Center.
He won 2nd prize at the Osaka International Music Competition in Japan and 2nd prize at the Baikal International Opera Singers Competition in Russia.
During the season 2020-2021, Jinyoung Kim was selected for the International Opera Academy in Ghent (Belgium).
