Student Sawako Kayaki semifinalist FS&MM

Congratulations to our student Sawako Kayaki and her pianist Haruka Ebina! They made it as Lied Duo to the semifinals of the International Chamber Music Competition “Franz Schubert and Modern Music”.

The 1st official round of the 11th International Chamber Music Competition “Franz Schubert and Modern Music” (FS&MM) took place online in February due to the pandemic. On February 11, the top-class jury selected the semifinalists from the videos produced especially for the competition in the two categories “Duo for Voice and Piano (Lied)” and “Trio for Piano, Violin & Violoncello”. The semifinalists will meet in the semifinal and final rounds at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz from July 20 – 24, 2022 to celebrate a Summer Chamber Music Festival, together with the jury and then (hopefully) with the audience.
