IOA creates ‘OperaLab’ together with KASK& Conservatorium School of Arts Gent
[ENG] The IOA was once founded to build bridges between the conservatories and the professional opera world. Today we continue to connect with students outside of the IOA to minimize this gap and to show them what studying at the IOA has to offer. Together with KASK & CONSERVATORIUM School of Arts Gent, we organized ‘OperaLab’, a course which gave master students in vocal studies a taste of the IOA curriculum. IOA founder Guy Joosten and Head of Music Hein Boterberg concluded this course with a Masterclass at MIRY Concertzaal today. A lovely initiative that leaves us wanting more 
[NL] De IOA is ooit opgericht om bruggen te slaan tussen conservatoria en de professionele operawereld. Ook vandaag blijven we contact houden met studenten buiten de IOA om deze kloof te verkleinen en hen te tonen wat studeren aan de IOA hen te bieden heeft. Samen met KASK & CONSERVATORIUM School of Arts Gent organiseerden we ‘OperaLab’, een cursus die masterstudenten zang liet proeven van het IOA-curriculum. IOA-oprichter Guy Joosten en Hoofd Muziek Hein Boterberg sloten deze cursus vandaag af met een Masterclass in de MIRY Concertzaal. Een mooi initiatief dat naar meer smaakt
