Ruby Donnelly
Ruby Donnelly is a Scottish mezzo-soprano and a recent graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, where she studied with Deborah Rees.
Her operatic roles include Koukouli (L’étoile), Sally (A Hand of Bridge), Ramiro (La finta giardiniera), Fanny Price (Mansfield Park), and Eunice (A Streetcar Named Desire). She previously performed with Scottish Opera Connect, creating the role of First Parent in the world premiere of "Maud" and is a regular collaborator with the National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company.
On the concert platform, she has appeared at the BBC Proms and at Bridgewater Hall, and has performed as a soloist in works including Mozart’s Requiem and Bernstein’s Mass. Ruby made her first appearance at the International Opera Academy as Alma March in "Little Women", after which she fully joined the IOA as a Young Artist for the 2026-2027 season.
