Rosa Sparks is a British soprano, and graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, where she studied under the tutelage of Elizabeth Ritchie. Whilst completing her Masters, Rosa won the prestigious Frederic Cox Award for Singing competition, the Dame Eva Turner Award, and the Betty Bannerman Award for French Song with Clonter Opera.

Rosa’s most recent roles are Despina (Così Fan Tutte) at the IOA, and Krishna (Krishna) at Grange Park Opera. Previous operatic engagements include: Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly - Grange Park Opera), Zerlina (Don Giovanni - Flat Pack Opera), and Emmie (Albert Herring - Opera North). At RNCM she sang Aloès (L'étoile), Lucilla (La Scala di Seta), Mrs Coyle (Owen Wingrave), as well as as Yum-Yum (The Mikado), and Papagena (The Magic Flute) at Opera Anywhere. Working in contemporary music, Rosa has created the leading roles of ‘The Soprano’ in Interrupted and ‘The Journalist’ in Silverwood.
