COVID-19: New instructions-29/03/20
The Belgian National Security council has decided to keep all previous regulations in place until 19/4/2020 to help to prevent and slow down the Corona virus.
These measures are in place to avoid that you have to leave your home unnecessary.
We have to remain alert and proactive to all stay healthy. This must remain our primary goal at the moment. The measures in place are aimed at the wellbeing of all of us.
-The IOA campus will remained closed during this period.
–Online classes continue as scheduled.
-We will respect the planned Eastern Holiday: no lessons in the period from 6/04 until 14/04.
-Due to the regulations we have to postpone our “Tragedie” production. We are looking into possibilities of presenting this production just before the summer holidays. As soon as we have a new period, we will let you know.
-In the week of 14/4 we will provide online lessons. Please check the platform regularly for possible updates.
-The Flemish Council of Universities of Applied Sciences and Arts suggested low contact education for our sector. That means that as soon as we may we will open our campus again and start with lessons that do require direct contact. Rules for social distancing and safety measures applicable at all time will be decisive. We are working at a plan to do so.
We understand that there are many uncertainties as how this academic year will continue and which impact this may have on your study progress. Our main priority is and remains the interest of our students. For our teachers: thanks for helping us in offering distance education. We will contact you soon to update the plans for the near future.
You should all know once again that the IOA staff is there for you, also in this difficult period. So do not hesitate to contact us if needed.
