Robin Sansen Calderó
Robin Sansen Calderó is a Spanish pianist, conductor and singer, who began his musical studies in his hometown of Lleida, first in piano with Jordi Benseny, later discovering singing with the Conservatory’s youth choir. He pursued vocal training at the Toulon Conservatory with Chantal Arnaud, where he first appeared on stage in operatic productions, before continuing studies in Nantes, creating his early works including a Requiem for choir and orchestra.
He earned his degree in lyric singing at ESMUC (Barcelona) with Mireia Pintó, sang with the Orfeó Català under conductors such as Simon Rattle and Gustavo Dudamel, and composed his first opera, L’Assedio in Teatro (2022). In parallel, he developed a passion for Lied and piano accompaniment, collaborating regularly with Viviana Salisi. Since 2022, he has studied orchestral conducting at the Milan Conservatory with Vittorio Parisi, and was assistant to Daniele Rustioni at the Opéra de Lyon (La Fanciulla del West, 2024).
