The Australian soprano Jessica Pratt studied in Italy with Renata Scotto and maestro Gianluigi Gelmetti at the opera of Rome. In 2007, she made her European debut in Lucia di Lammermoor. Since then, she performed in the most important opera houses in the world, ranging from the MET in New York, Covent Garden in Londen, la Scala in Milan and the opera houses of Zürich, Berlin, Venice, Paris and Hamburg, a.o.. She sang in 94 productions, during which she especially shone in parts in the belcanto repertoire, such as I Puritani and La Sonnambula.
She cooperated closely with important directors such as Claudio Abbado, Gustavo Dudamel, Daniel Oren, Carlo Rizzi, Kent Nagano, Sir Collin Davis and many others.
